The Facebook Dilemma **

Let me get one thing straight from the very beginning. I am a Facebook girl. I love everything about Facebook. The stalking, the constant complaining and bitching, the get on your boyfriend's Facebook so you can spy on old boyfriends and friends who have blocked you. These things are what really make Facebook worth the time and effort. However, social networking is getting out of control. Through Facebook and other sites you learn everything you ever and NEVER wanted to know about your "friends." But it is so addicting. I am constantly updating Facebook on my iPhone and leave it open throughout classes. I always swore to myself and everyone else I would never become a "tweeter" or waste my time writing blogs- which I deemed pointless. My best friend L has recently been encouraging me to try Twitter. But how could I betray Facebook like that? Especially when Facebook has been so good to me? Well Facebook, to live in this ever evolving social web that has taken over American society- I am now ashamed to say that as of today I have become a "tweeter." But why stop there? I am now a sell out - so I must continue down that chosen path. So I started a blog.

There are several friends of mine that maintain blogs almost daily. Many of them are funny and witty and I actually enjoy reading what they have to say. This I cannot promise you. I can only promise that I will try to update this blog occasionally. With all this laid out on the table...I will now introduce myself.

I am a 24 year old brunette [well fake blonde right now ;) ] who lives in the Great State of Arkansas. However, I am a Carolina girl at heart and hail from the metropolis of Wilkesboro, North Carolina. For those of you who have never heard of Wilkesboro (and I am betting that is most of you) just think of a place that worships moonshine and Nascar and you have your setting. Anyways, I miss North Carolina and my whole family that lives there. (notice I did not say Wilkesboro....) I ended up in Northwest Arkansas to attend law school. I am getting ready to start my 3L year (the last year) in the fall. It's hard to believe that I will be done with school in less than a year. I have gone to school with no interruptions since I was in Kindergarten. I'm afraid the real world is going to come slap me up side the head once I (hopefully) obtain a Big Girl Job. <~~~ SCARY!!!!

But as of now I am still living in la la law school land. A magical place where professors attempt to mold you into great legal scholars and theoretical thinkers of the new age!! Well to put it bluntly, it's all bullshit. Very few classes in law school actually prepare you to be a lawyer. Most young lawyers get into to court and simply learn by (1) embarrassment, (2) humiliation, or (3) easy win turns into easy loss. Or a combination of all three. But it seems to be the name of the game so no one attempts to change it.

A little more about myself:
- I graduated from a small DII school in South Carolina where I played College Tennis. I miss those days- and most of the friends I met along that journey.
- I am currently on a low carb diet. Call it Atkins- South Beach- whatever you wish. I simply call it Fat Bitch Needs to Get Skinny Again diet. Simple enough right? Anyways- I have lost around 18 pounds since beginning the diet in April 2011. It is the best feeling in the WORLD to fit into old clothes you didn't think you would ever fit in again. And not eating yummy pasta, bread, and potato chips is really not that bad.
- I am determined to lose 8 pounds by June 25, 2011. Pray for me.
- I am currently in love with Dirk Nowitszki of the Dallas Mavericks. This celebrity crush changes from week to week but Dallas is in the NBA finals right now and I personally would love to see Dirk slam the ball down LeBron's face.
- I LOVEEE Sports. I love playing and watching.
- I am a HUGE Carolina Panthers fan. I love everything Panthers. I don't care if they are currently the worst team in the NFL I am prepared to weather through the worst.
- I also love the Carolina Hurricanes. I think hockey is the best sport to watch live. It's so fast paced and exciting- it seems there is never a dull moment. Plus, the beer at the RBC Center in Raleigh seems to be stronger then everywhere else. - I am on to you RBC Center!
- I also love Wine. I love Cabs, Pinot Noirs, Merlots, pretty much anything dark, red, and DRY. You can add some cheese to that - if you like.

Now that I have introduced myself- this forum seems like a good place to lay down what I want to accomplish in the next few years...I will hopefully keep you updated on how these things are progressing...if at all.

I want to lose 8 pounds by June 25, 2011 - Id. (see above)
